Goldas Opened Jewelry Design Exhibitions in Universities

Goldas travels around Turkey with the Jewelry exhibition

The award-winning Jewelry and designs in the "Jewelry Design Summer School" organized for the second time in June last year by Goldas that undersigned many successful projects in compliance with its pioneer position in Turkish Jewelry sector were exhibited in seven universities in Turkey. The winning designs in the Jewelry design summer school that was organized for the first time in 2004 were also presented to the university students before.

Being created during the design summer school project organized for the second time in Antalya Olympos by Goldas, which is an innovation in Turkey, 'Mediterranean & Mediterranean Collection' was exhibited in Marmara University Vocational School of Technical Studies, Aydin Karacasu School of Vocational Studies, Mugla University Milas Sitki Kocman School of Vocational Studies, Dokuz Eylul University Izmir School of Vocational Studies, Gazi University Beypazari Vocational School of Technical Studies and Erzurum Ataturk University Oltu School of Vocational Studies.

The students in the schools where the exhibitions were organized also participated in the seminars named as "Symbol in Jewelry and Ornamental Stones and Their Usage in Contemporary Design" by Archeologist Dr. Altan Ture, who is a Researcher on the History of Jewelry and Project Consultant, and "Goldas designs and 2006 Spring-Summer Jewelry and accessories trends" by Olgu Tukel, Goldas Trend Analyst and Designer. Moreover, in the exhibition the students had the chance to watch the film composing of the pictures taken during the summer school. Summer school Jewelry and designs were also adored by the people in the regions where they were exhibited.

Under the scope of Jewelry Design Summer School project, 14 successful students from 7 different universities that provide education in Jewelry design and technology in Turkey participated in the summer school studies in Antalya Olympos. The main concept was determined as "Mediterranean & Mediterranean" in the educational program organized with the consultancy of Altan Ture and Mujgan Emre. During the summer school, Goldas Jewelry designer Olgu Tukel tried to tell young designer candidates what kind of things will be waiting for them when they start their professional lives by sharing his knowledge and experiences.

The educational program was integrated with an excursion route in order to enable the students feel and understand better the atmosphere, culture and structure of the period for their studies to be made with the determined concept.

The first five artworks selected by the jury at the end of the project were manufactured under the name of Mediterranean Collection by Goldas. The collection consists of "Mediterranean Seal" that symbolizes Mediterranean and the cultural synthesis created by these civilizations, "Lyre" which is one of the most important symbols of Apollon, "Ram Head Jewelry set" where acanthus plant and flower ornamentations that decorate the column heads are used, "Columns" that contains columns which are among the symbols of Mediterranean architecture and finally "Elegance" that consists of the designs where the arrows of Eros the God of Love are used.

Goldas Jewelry Design Summer School Project and the following exhibitions will continue to be organized with the participation of new schools in the forthcoming years.
